Fun little one day build

The Colonial Marines APC from Aliens, this is a resin kit and the kit itself is only about 3" long , it's brush painted with a pin wash and dry brush to bring out the detail

Base is a simple poly filer surface with woodland scenics rocks pushed into it , I scored the surface with a scalpel to make it unevenIMG_6447.JPGIMG_6446.JPG IMG_6445.JPGIMG_6444.JPG

One of my favourite films of all times. Great little model and build, shame they molded the top gun in the parked position on the back.

Cheers bob , it does give you both options, I based this little scene on the escape from the atmosphere processing station

Nice build Alan. I love all the Alien films and have watched them many times. Got a boxed set of all 4 films on dvd for £10 from Tesco last month. So my old vhs set is off to the charity shop.

Cool kit and scale isn't evident in the pics.
I'm more of a Blade Runner fan, (and excited about the new one), but have seen these all being set in the same universe.
My favourite exchange was during the suit up where Bill Paxtons character says
'Hey Vasquez, you ever been mistaken for a man?'
And she says,
'No, have you?'

"Someone said alien, she thought they said illegal alien and signed up." :D

Hudson was hilarious.

Best Hudson quote

I'm ready man, check it out. I am the ultimate badass! State-of-the-badass-art! You do not want to **** with me. Check it out. Hey Ripley! Don't you worry, me and my squad of ultimate bad-asses will protect you. Check it out, independently targeting particle-beam phalanx. Whap! You can fry half a city with this puppy. We got tactical smart missiles, phase plasma pulse rifles, and we got Sonic Electronic Ball-Breakers! We got nukes, knives, sharp sticks...
