Im in if it goes all year though.
A full year then from 1st January to December 31st, Any scale any type, all the PE you want to throw at it or OOB, diorama or stand alone, But the Osprey is not an helicopter so that one's out.

The problem with a full year is, people will build, but they might be so spread out over the year, it doesn't feel like much of a group build. To me a group build, is a bunch of people all building at the same time.

I have a helicopter on my build plan dream sheet for this year which clearly isn't going to happen so a GB of six to twelve months for one next year would get my approval.

If you can make it a year I'm keen Ian, it's just impossible for me to build one inside a few months due to the nature of my work. I've got a couple of helicopters in the mix so getting one built would be an achievement.

Fair comment Colin, however the longer time frame suits me personally as I don't have the ability to commit to completing a build inside a few months, which is why these user created GB's with flexible time frames are better for me than the forum GB's. If we're not all building at the same time then at least we're sharing a common interest over the year.

I know what your saying Colin, but with the rules that you need 10 or more builders, the chances of getting a GB up for less than 6 months are pity slim. It would need to be a topic every one wants to do.

You have a point. This years 3 month Cold War GB only attracted three people (others showed an interest but were unable to join in) so yes, making it 12 months should get more participants. But, conversely, if someone joins in for the last 2 months, by themselves, will they feel like they are taking part in a group build ? But not to worry, I do understand why it's 12 months. BUT, all of a sudden I'm thinking of those 48hour (weekend) group builds you see on other forums...........no stop it - bad thoughts, go away...........

That rather depends on how much effort the person that suggested the GB puts into promoting it and how long the thread maintains an interest...

I understand what your also saying Ian, but no matter how much effort you put in, if the time restraints aren't to the builders liking you will hardly ever get 10 or more builders.

Just to keep this one fresh in your minds, are there any more interested builders for this one?
We've got 6 we only need 4 more to make it a go'er for next year.
