Hi, It's with regret that I've decided to close down this build blog, and the further one's I had planned the pipeline , I dont' think forum life is for me any longer and will be moving on it's down to a group of 6-8 people who are also member of another forum and this one (that is celebrating its fifth birthday) who just like tracking me down and making my life s***. this has been going on for over 18 months. I would like to say a very big thank everyone here that has helped, encouraged and suppored me while being a part of this forum..........thank you
Pete.

PS I know I didn't actually make this model from the start I said never did.

Top drawer work, excellent work on both models!

The rust work is looking sublime, nice cross between the darker and lighter patches, blends through the model.

There is a policy on this forum that is vigorously controlled my the mods/admin, if you are being bullied or slated by other members on this forum-no matter if they are longtime or new members it will not be tolerated-end of. Please do not leave, report to mods and they can look into it.

You are doing cracking work and, after a severe absence, trying to get back into modelling-health issues causing issues-and I was overjoyed to find your thread and the superb models-donated by Ken, he is a top bloke-I make rusty and knackered and this inspired me to have a look at getting back into making something.

Do not listen to others Peter, build for you and stuff em.

I'm really, really glad you've decided to stay with us Pete! You do some great work and it's always a pleasure to watch your builds.

Am I right in thinking someone has criticised you for claiming credit for these builds when someone else had already started them? If so, they need to get their heads examined for content 'cos I suspect they're empty!

EVERY kit we buy has already been started by the mould makers at the factory - plastic doesn't naturally form into detailed parts by itself - so we're ALL building kits started by someone else. Unless these idiots are building everything from scratch - starting with raw lumps of wood or whatever - they should keep their mindless comments to themselves.

Quite true Si.
If found they will be dealt with accordingly.
Very glad to read that you are going to stay at it/with us Pete.
I will leave with this comment. Any form of malicious comments to any from any members will not be tolerated. This includes both posts on the forum, Personal messages and god forbid it happens again privat emails. If I get to hear of it the perpetrator will be delt with.
End of.
So can I now ask that we get back on topic for this thread.

Just one more thing, at the minute I'm rebuilding/ restoring but not trying to inprove on Kens work which we have all seen is excellent and to a very high standard. Ken was going to bin these models (see link below) so I thought I would try and give them a new lease of live which he knows about so yes the basic kit and is not one of mine.

The TLC build in the car section are also Kens models which I'm rebuilding/ restoring http://www.scale-models.co.uk/threads/a-bit-of-tlc.31105/

Thank you.
Pete.

Pete,
I'm glad you are still with us. The wreck is fabulous and I learned a lot about this type of weathering. Really quite different from the usual.
Cheers,
Rick H.
