Eduard's 1/48 F-6F Hellcat, finished as an early version which involved modifying the wing cannons. I also opened the cowl flaps to add a bit of interest. The boxing was a Profipack version so it came with all the goodies, including colour photo-etch and windscreen masks. Finished with Xtracrylix paints and home-made decals.

Beautiful build Mike. Another very impressive model. A nice touch opening the cowl flaps too, as you say it adds interest.

Fantastic result. It must be nice to work on something so big after all those microscopic 1/144 you have posted of late.

Great paint as usual

Really good. The cowling flaps, exhaust stains, chipping, and subtle panel lines really enhance the build. I always love that USN colour scheme with the wavy demarcation line.

  1. Awesome and inspiring as when I look at something this good it just makes me want to do another model and try to achieve the kind of presentation you seem to acquire with ease.I will keep trying might make it one day practice makes perfect as the old saying goes.Well done Mike thanks John

The modulation is fantastic ... the different shades of blue on the panels break the monotone color nicely. Two thumbs up...
