converting Lynx BERP rotor-blades

Im modelling a Royal Navy Lynx HAS3 from the mid nineties, back when they had those nice old fashioned straight blades. Im basing my model on a 1/32 Revell Lynx 3 and planning to really go to town with detailing.

Before i get out my hacksaw and wet and dry has anyone attempted to remove the berp ends from the revell kit? Is it just a case of carefully cutting and shaping?

Is it really as easy as that?

I've never done it but I bet it is just that simple Rich I don't think that the blades would be hollow

I would agree with Ian, cannot see any issues, just make sure the blade is secure before using a nice new sharp blade-do not try and cut it one pass, just gently keep going to avoid slippage. If it is hollow (very doubtful) then use a bit of filler and sand to shape.
