hi Monica I take it the weather were you are is very hot If so the compressor is compressing hot air and along with the friction of the piston in the cyl head it is creating excess heat , is your cut off valve/regulator working and not running the machine for too long ?

If I'm using mine for longer than 20 minutes or so, I put my desk fan next to it which brings the temperature down nicely Moni.

What compressor have you Moni ? How long do you run it for at a time. Does it switch off as Steve has mentioned.

When mine ran hot like that I could not touch it. Came to the conclusion the switching gear had gone wrong. Does the pressure remain at that that you set it.

Pessimist that I am is it still under guarantee.?

ta guy,s.

well i guess its a CE,and come,s from some were in china,

even as it dose get hot,it will switch off /on,

find mostly when im doing like 1/2 hr work or so,some day,s it,s fine and other it get very hot,

it dose keep the pressure or the IPS i have set,

say it would be out of guarantee,Laurie  as i was scaryed to use it for about 6tmth,s lol, :D

it has been getting hot hear Steve, and even inside remains hot as well, thats why i dont use it

when its over high 20,s;)

that dose sound a good idea Steve,I will try that next time, and see how it works,as it dose seen when doing long time, :smiling3:

Moni if you have room in the refrigerator yooooo could keep it.............

I will email the person who looks after me on air compressors. Knows the ins and outs having worked on the bench before running the company . He will I am sure give a list of possibilities.

When it is below the high 20s Moni does it keep cool ? Does it have a reservoir air tank ? Has this heat thing suddenly developed ? Do you keep the compressor in a corner as the heat will build up. Is it a single or dual cylinder model ?

Running a fan can't do any harm. After all these things are air cooled.

thats a great idea Laurie, the the little thing would stay cool,

well i have just noticed it happening, 2 out of 4 time i would say for some reason i just

put my hand on it and felt oh thats hot,

it dose have the reservoir air tank,so switch on and off as needed,

when i do use it i just put it on the end of the table is it,s in the open,

this one got me will need to find that out if single or dual cylinder model,

as Steve said he dose run a fan on his,and your right they do run on air, ;)

The double cylinder has two identical silver heads.

How hot is it. difficult. Is it so that you cannot possibly touch it. When the temp is lower is there a difference in the heat of of the unit ? Has it suddenly started irrespective of the temperature.

Any clues you can give makes it easier for Doctor Compressor to evaluate the possible problem.

Monica, mine heats up after around twenty minutes or so, now I always run a fan blowing air across the motor, makes a big difference.

i hate the summer over hear been 40c for 3 days then down to low 20,s but the house stays hot after 3 or 4 days of that, ;)
