Model built decades ago not as knowledgeable then as am now please forgive oversite P.S. never saw many brightly colored tanks maybe because they didn't survive log.\ said:It's a nice KT, although the colour is a bit monotone. Kinda blends in too much for me.Also the tarp over the mantlet - how does the gunner see the enemy!

Put simply, most King Tigers were painted in the factory with ' ambush ' camouflage. As this one has no zimmeritt, it would be in the correct timeframe for this.\ said:Yea whats wit dat! :P
If you look closely the multi colored camo is there under netting and weathering.\ said:Put simply, most King Tigers were painted in the factory with ' ambush ' camouflage. Grumpa, I didn't write that you were, I just suggested you might like to introduce yourself to us....and thanks for doing so.\ said:Am not standoffish in the least.

Thanks much.Tend to go into artist mode when building, some should go to tech manuals for historical data\ said:Lots of detail, like here, including "messy" detail, makes a a model more realistic, and interesting to examine, in my opinion.
Thanks much. sometimes emotion takes over when building, just a fault of mine I geusse.\ said:Nice cat !
