this was a bit of a love affair for myself and this kit , I built the Revell release in the early 80s and I can say this is a much better detailed kit and a lot larger measuring 17 x 14 inches and is said to be a 1/1 scale of ones built for the TV show although not exactly identical

All brush painted with Revell Aqua colours and winton oil paints , the base colour is Revell stone grey and the cockpit and stripes are Revell anthracite grey with Revell mouse grey for the panels either side of the cockpit the weathering is all winton oils , lamp black and burnt umber

The kit easy easy and goes together well but some guide pins need a slight file to get them to go together properly

Here's the pics comments welcome as always :smiling3: View attachment 101507

Makes sense though, Cylon, 3 robot crew...so, would be bigger.

Love battlestar but have only seen the new ones. Prefer the old viper ship though.

Good build mate

True and it was a bomber as well , it's just on screen they looked very much the same size :smiling3:

Like Chris I'm no scifi fan but this looks great. And all brush painted too, very nicely done Alan.

Yeah he's got drybrushing down. Every seem is dark (assuming from a wash) then drybrushed highlight color over but leaving the depth. Nicely done.

Chris I do a pin was with a fine brush with oil paint I find it holds better in the panel line and any over spill is easier to remove with just a rub of a finger :smiling3:

Lovely paint job, I liked the new series but I do feel nostalgic about the original series.
