I like it for the colors are so close to the real thing aged and used,and with the tones from the heat,

Nice one Ken. I like the 'exploded' design. It reminds me of the engine I wrecked many moons ago, but mine was an accident!

P.S.....Nice bit of leg in those slippers. Not much left in the white wine bottle either!

I thought the empty wine bottle was a nice touch as well ........


Cracking job on that engine Ken ......... I like the "exploded look" ........ and the well used finish is great work........ Crack open another bottle for that one matey. :D

Hey that is something else. Not seen one of these before. Nicely detailed and a nice paint job Ken.


I am assuming that glass is actually holding fuel for the engine ;)

Great work Ken, that looks very convincing. Great idea for a model, working parts etc. Airfix also do a turbofan jet engine model.

Thanks all, it's a great little kit and pretty much builds itself I did no scratch building and all went together well, people don't say good things about the old Airfix kits but I think they are great for the price, the maudsley paddle steamer engine is just as good and they are both old kits, and cheap by today's stndards, a very enjoyable kit.
