There are some other figures with it in Temperate uniform.......... But I do think the dirty white over field grey may go well..

Thanks Patrick ........ Whether it ends up as DAK or Winter Camo it'll be going over German Field Grey. I think if I go for DAK then there needs to be some bare metal involved from sand pounding ...... and the winter camo needs a bit of rust.

Funny you should say that........... I did think about building it with a figures of Hilter, Goering and some officers looking on. While I was doing a bit of research apparently they attended a demonstration of the first one and Goering ordered the first 100 for the Luftwaffe. Not sure where I could get the figures in 1/35 though.

You don't have to paint it German grey then paint over it Peter I paint all my DAK in the colour say Africa brown or desert yellow then I just highlight areas like edges and corners so you can see it was a different colour underneath , if you want to really show it was painted in another colour you can paint the area where the markings go in German grey then paint around it in what ever tan you use , don't forget there wasn't a specific colour used on these , they would use what ever colour they could get , I even read that they would paint these with sand mixed in oil so if you do decide to do DAK you've got loads of scope :smiling3:

Thanks Alan......... I'll bear that in mind. once I reach a decision on it. But, I think whatever, it'll need to be a bit grubby. :smiling3:
