Hi guys!!

Today I'll show you my new Me 262 A-1a / U3. The kit comes from Hobby Boss and is really great.

The version "U3" was a reconnaissance aircraft, which was derived from the A-1a "Schwalbe" (Swallow). Unlike the fighter version, the U3 had only the lower machine guns (30mm MK108) mounted in the fuselage. In the upper part of the fuselage were cameras installed.

Cheers

Stefan :smiling3:

Thanks for your comments, mates!! :smiling3:

Monica, for the camouflage scheme I brushed the completely upper side in RLM 83. Next, the individual spots were masked with the help of "Mask Paint" (which is similar to Maskol). Then RLM 82 was painted over it, and after drying the "Mask Paint" were simply removed again. ;)

How does this hobby boss kit go together?

Cheers

Hi Phil!!!

The assembly was pure fun. The fit very well, a beautiful detailed cockpit and the option to show the camerawells open. There is room for more additionaI detailing (if you like) and I would recommend the kit.

Hi Snowman!!

It's made of popsicle sticks. It was really hard work to eat all this ice cream to get enough sticks for my little base. ;)

No......you can get these sticks in a craft store. :smiling3:
