after starting off very pleased with this figure it ended up being a disappointment down basically to my choices

Namely not going down the route suggested in the instructions but thinking of an easier route , the instructions tell you to make the mg then cut it so it attaches to the hand , I cut them before assembly and they didn't match up so I had to file them brown a bit the made the gun a bit shorter which then through out the hand holding the barrel which didn't match up with the arm also the hand didn't fit around the barrel so I had to remove the thumb which was then stolen by the carpet monster so I had to use another one from another kit which is not a perfect match

So all my own making

I chose to use washes for this one as I thought when I built the Shutz figure it left it a little dark

Here's the pics and comments welcome

Just a pic to show the detail that's hidden on the complete figure

Hi Alan and wow this is good ( don't see the full what your on about? The barrel maybe a mm out etc but looks ok. Uniform has come out very well almost looks like material!!! That's hard to achieve. I did notice raised detail on the upper arms of the uniform ( was this part for a patch or crest? ) it might be my eyesight though poor as it is

All together I really enjoy your work Alan and really do love the few days growth and hair ( sane colour as mine!! Grey!!

Kind regards

Robert

Cheers rob I'm pleased you like it

Yes there is a patch of some kind on the left arm but it's very faint so beyond my skill level to paint and I didn't have a decal for it , I've left it to practice on when I'm more confident

Cheers

Hi Alan.

Dragon kits are never easy to deal with, but I think you have done a fine job with this, especially the uniform colour and the picking out of the details.

Not a criticism but if you can't paint the patch or have a decal for it,simply sand it away and then no problem:smiling3:.

Reads as though you had a bit of a battle with this Alan, but it's come out just fine. Nice one.

He's certainly one savage looking dude. I wouldn't want to meet him on a dark night!

Cheers Ron , I modelled his face on James coburns in cross of iron his uniform was really similar in that film hence the long growth on his chin :smiling3:

If this had been me, and you know I don't do figures so it wouldn't be...it would have ended up in the bin. Great save, it doesn't look bad at all mate. I know you're a tad miffed, mainly at yourself, but you recovered it well.
