Hi Lee, the tractor is a Airfix 1/12 Shaun the Sheep from Wallace and Grommet. Very hard to get now. I think it is supposed to be based on a Ford 3000 range.
So many amazing models from very talented and skillful builders...god this site is good.
My fave builds...hmmm. Many have gone to other homes, including ones shown but, I did enjoyed doing these very much and as for the best...there isn't one. Some turned out slightly better than others but...
Yes, they should be okay for light painting. Anything that is going to take time best to get a proper filter type, John sells some in the shop I think, that's where I bought mine from.
Paints are better in terms of pigments, thinners etc. It is still advisable to wear a even a decorators mask as acrylic paints, especially if airbrushing do atomize and are in the air, you are breathing those minute particles in.
I have COPD from smoking, work environment but, also from years...
Good practice is to always open a window if you can, ventilation is key even for small painting jobs. Larger jobs, airbrushing etc get a fume box and ventilate it outside using a hose. Any rattle can usage do outside. Always wear a rated mask if you need to.
First off, I hope you all had a wonderful Xmas.
Secondly, although modelling has stopped, as some of you know, I have got a new AFV...a RC 1/16 Bradley.
Just some painting and a bit of detailing but no making stuff.
So, I am doing stuff just not building.
I managed to get the pro version for...
Oh yes, your royal Ronness. A outstanding diorama, again the B&W pictures just enhance the atmosphere of the piece.
Not sure of the great big paw though :tongue-out3:
As many of you know, I do RC tanks and sunken junk but, I have made many other things in the past and...I am thinking of doing the Falcon chased by tie fighters in the asteroid belt.
I will fit lights and a base etc.
I am sourcing parts and seeing if this is a viable thing for me to do.
I had forgotten about reading the this January club newsletter until someone in the club asked if it was my RC T-72 pictured in it.
It was, taken at a club event it shows my Ukrainian T-72 thundering over the terrain, also a nice couple of RAF fast boats.
Photos taken by Lukasz Sochacki so...
Cheers Lee, they are nice little, fun builds. Nothing to add or do to enhance, just a simple easy model.
Why thank you Allen, glad you like it.
Ta Ernie, nice easy build that doesn't get you stressed.
Thanks John, first one I have done and, enjoyed very much, there could be more me thinks.
This past week I have working on a model that a friend kindly sent me from the Tank Museum. A Meng, World War Toon Panzer IV.
Easy to do and assemble, I ended up having to use some glue in places, supposed to be click fit and just did basic clean up work.
Was a nice little build and enjoyed...
