A little progress the cockpit interior nearly done some washes etc to do but it's my least favourite part on aircraft.
I hadn't realised that these kits have full interior detail so painting that will probably be next before putting it together.

I'm trying to find the model color codes for raf ww2 specifically mk1 spitfire I can find model air codes but I'm wanting to brush paint so will be using model color.

I'm looking to build a p-47 with a bare metal finish I use mr color but never used metal type paints I.e. alclad,ak and mr metal any advice/experience anyone could share would be helpful I'd like something I can clear coat over so I can handle it without getting fingerprints.

Finally got round to getting some paint down this morning (before DIY starts) quite pleased so far weathering next.
One thing I'm have an issue with is the top hatch the way they have the mechanism is totally wrong it should sit flat on the rear of the turret and it should have a leather pad...
Well a very pleasant surprise this morning I turned the last page of the instructions! I hadn't realised I was so close there's a few small bits to go on light lenses wing mirrors etc. but nothing too stressful, the sub assemblies are done and it'll be onto painting next weekend I may get some...
This morning I finally got the main gun finished all 24 pieces, the turret interior and the mantlet I think attaching this to the turret is going to be interesting.

Thanks for the encouragement folks I've had a morning off from it today there's only so much working through the magnifier I can do. I did a bit of track laying on my railway layout for a break. I'll then do a little more but surprisingly the turret and floor fits and lines up into the hull...
Onto the turret this is very delicate there's only six thin struts holding the rotating floor section I'll be amazed if it survives, the radio is on with its guard and the ammo tins for the besa. The main gun is going together a few more bits to go on that. Small steps and it's slowly getting there.
Things moved along the PE continued I've never used so much but after making a small applicator to put tiny amounts of cyano on it became easier to do, hull halves went on to the chassis OK a small clamp helped keep it lined up.
