Hi chaps this is prob a frequent asked question but I’m looking for a pair of glasses ( no should have gone to spec savers jokes please!
I already wear glasses when it comes to modelling but I’m thinking more hoping for a solution to this age old problem. As a lot of you know I’m building my...
Been a while for me to get chance to get back to the ship but the next step is in process
I believe this is the front of the hull sonar or the equivelant. The kit just gives you a flush hull so I need to make a few modifications and then redress with modelling putty to get the correct form and...
I agree with the above the stynylrez is a great primer even on delicate PE I have never had fault with this primer
Vallejo primers are good too ( my choice )
Prime everything as I find paints look better but again personal choice
Robert
Thanks for the vote of confidence
It looks like the PE never stops either as I've had to order the flak 20mm as there's two on the bridge and the kit does not do the model justice. I'm still looking for 3 screws for the propellers ( or are they screws??
There's a fair bit of detail to go on...
Well I have dressed the hull area around the propeller shaft outlets with white putty to dress the seams up once I sand. While that's to one side I'll take a look at the turrets A, B, C, D and notice from my ref the smoke ejectors at the rear are a little large so I'll reshape them to be in...
So today it starts
The biggest build of a model I've ever done before ( well let's say ships as its my first ever )
I started by getting the seam line that goes from stem to stern on the hull then started the drilling of the portholes on the hull ( quite a few )
I got the Anatomy of the ships...
Hi guy I’m loling for some help with my Bismarck build. I have the anatomy ref books and I’m looking for the two flak they had on the central tower
One was either side of the main search light but scanning the internet looking at veterans PE they seem to be the ones that do in this scale they...
Yes thanks I think that’s wfat they are called they sit on the gun barrel at the point leaving the turret. I think the main guns and secondary armament had them with 1/350 scale I think it would be hard to cater for the smaller 37mm or the 20mm
I have some green puttey that rolled out thin...
Hi guys I finally got all the PE for my ship however I never got the gun shrouds do any of you ship builders know where I can get these from
I need the shrouds fir the main and secondary armament I think
Kind regards
Robert
Thanks guys I’ll hit the web and try and find this book. I’ve been looking around at a lot of models of the Biz and some of them are so exquisitely portrayed it seems a damn shame they sunk her she was some beautiful piece of engineering !
Hi guys I’m needing a little ref help with my prep fir the Bismarck build. I have now received most of my PE frets and my main question is this.
Because the Bismarck kit I have is Scottie Spartan in detail I want to put portholes and hatched on the kit but I only have limited pic ref on where...
It’s the trumpeter 1/35 Karl Gerat two parts to the lifting mech then the mortar carriage all on tracks
I’ll be doing mine in transit and I’d like to get a train to pull it but think it’s going to be so big it’s gonna take up my whole side of my man cave with a big shelf.
So what’s the best...
