Just a quickie here I painted the model below using aqueous paints acrylics then to seal the final result sprayed it using Humbrol enamel varnish which was a mistake but also as Bob Ross the painter used to call a happy accident
As you can see the paint has been attacked by in a subtle way to...
So here’s my take on this fabled so called German Flying Saucer from WW II need to put it into a warehouse type diorama to get the full effect of an abandoned project the kit was primed in Vallejo one shot primer and then painted using Revelle Aqueious Paints weathering was done by me using my...
Haunebu II part 3 weathering done and decals added
So we’re nearly there this shows my final weathering of the top along with gluing in the windows using crystal clear so as not to smear the windows with glue and then finally add the decals I have left off 3 due to the policy being run by most...
Haunebu II part 2 top section
So here we go with the top of the saucer this was much more challenging than even I expected trying to do splinter camouflage and then weathering on top
Anyway after several attempts /repaints I got something resembling what I wanted
Next I added some small...
Bottom section done after painting took about 10 min to assemble not much else to say really parts fitted really well after filling and sanding and priming
Top section will be much more challenging with splinter camouflage weathering and a detailed interior to display
So for my next build I’ve gone completely left field of my normal aircraft ships and cars I’m doing this as I want to practice painting as the construction of this kit would take about an hour from start to finish bar the painting and weathering so anyway here are the olbigitary spru shots and...

Here’s a perfect example of why we prime models before painting these propellers looked perfectly adequate for the job before priming afterwards though loads of seams revelled themselves which as you can see in the last picture have been removed where all the shiny parts are showing without...

I might go completely off the rails with a war of the worlds war machine complete with lights and sound and then the squadron models Hanabreau ii or however it’s pronounced
I also have border models Lanc 1/32 and a hachette Titanic to do as well that should keep me busy for the year

Correction not a Pom Pom but one of those primitive rocket launchers they were supposed to be fired at any incomming aircraft and as they climbed they spew out a long trailing wire which I suppose was to snag anything vital from the incoming airborne threat presumably the propellers
HMS Hood 1/200 Hachette /Amati Wooden kit Build Main Guns Now Fitted
So a relatively easy stage this just had to file out the holes in the barbets and the bottom of the turrets to fit in the pin that allows the turrets to be rotated the fit is so tight no glue is needed
Next I got a1/32...
