Several people on here have done Zimmerit using putty and scribes/tweezers.

Having got carried away with this she is now finished will sort out a completed thread when able to access the completed photos
Here it is after the first coats
Well with the AA build starting in a few days made some progress on this here she is in Primer.
She is currently drying after having been given the first coat of Silver will get some pics up later when I get the chance

I also stuffed the part that the nose cone attaches to before it goes on infront of the cockpit. The top is now all on and in primer it definately is not going to be a tail sitter

Cockpit painted and in touch ups still to be done before the top goes on.

Here is my completed Firefly
First time building one of these toon kits and building it was fun and I seem to have refound my Mojo and been spending more time at the desk.
Might get some more of these should the motivation slip again

I had seen this and when it comes to dry fitting the top I will be giving the pegs a trim
Have felt the tracks and although they feel ok will give them a wash to be safe Thanks for the tip
