Tahnks, Bob. I will try to work the pieces together and see how it goes.

Christian's Dragon 6860 1:35 Stug III Wittmann Barbarossa build

Thank you, Bob! I would be curious to hear if you have experience with assembling the subbuilds at the end, cf. step 18 in thse instructions?

Thank you, Steve. Tracks are DS, and I will give them a try.

Weathering suggestions for next time? ICM 1:35 Panther beobachtungspanzer (artillery observer vehicle).

Thank you for the words of encouragement and my apologies for not responding to the first comments sooner. It is appreciated. I do not use oils, enamels, or airbrush, for health reasons. It's my attempt at doing it carefully from the beginning, as I have approximately 100 years of modelling...

    SD.KFz.7 Km m 11 half track.

I've always liked the look of this vehicle - can't wait to build it myself :-) Enjoy!

Christian's Dragon 6860 1:35 Stug III Wittmann Barbarossa build

Upper hull parts done, with all photoetch being very well behaved - once again had a good time :-) One note: In step 13, there are no physical marks to show the exact placement of parts blue A3, 4, and 11. Shoddy, and demonstrates some of the low standards of modern Dragon.

Christian's Dragon 6860 1:35 Stug III Wittmann Barbarossa build

Second fender done - came up with a bid for the A25 piece placement for when the fender is up, but could still use a hint as mentioned above. I am curious to see how it all fits together when going on the hull. The unclear instructions this time around are one of those which give Dragon part of...

Christian's Dragon 6860 1:35 Stug III Wittmann Barbarossa build

Had a good time building one of the fenders :-) Unfortunately, I could not see if parts A25 were supposed to go on, and if so how, when using part blue A40. Anyone know the answer to these two questions?

Christian's Matchbox 1:32 Auto Union Type D (1939) racing car (product no. PK-312).

Good morning fellow model consumers and improvers! I went into the tiny sample of original matchbox kits I have bought in 1:32 scale, which matches the railway, and going through them, I found this little baby, which I hope to finish in time for the new year! Sounds easy to achieve, but my...

Pete's Matchbox 1\32 Tiger Moth Float Plane.

That wood is some of the best I have seen - do you achieve the colour effects with airbrush? (Something which I am not using.) The engine also looks incredibly realistic paintwise. This is very impressive indeed!

Christian's Dragon 6860 1:35 Stug III Wittmann Barbarossa build

Thank you, Bob, for the pointers. I will do a monotone grey since I would like to see more of those on the train. Do you know if the PE for the large back wheels (return rollers?) is supposed to be visible, blocking the holes on the wheels? The pieces are definitely shaped that way, but it was...

    Christian's Eduard Bf 109 E-4 Messerschmidt 1:48

Tip appreciated, Dave. There is a mention of this in the instructions.

Dear all, This is a kind call for my fellow modellers to provide inspiration on how to add more weathering, or do weathering differently, than what has been done in this case, to use for my next weathering projects (among them: 1:35 Brummbär early, desert yellow monotone Kursk). Below are...

The four stages of an Egyptian T-62 tank's Short War - Yom Kippur 1973.

All the modelling work looks well done to me - congrats!

Christian's Dragon 6860 1:35 Stug III Wittmann Barbarossa build

Assembling the next bit, the backend of the hull, was more difficult than it needed to be, since the instructions forced me into trial-and-error mode. However, I managed to piece it together in the end, and I can imagine experienced Dragon stug-builders don't give it much thought as they go...

    Christian's Eduard Bf 109 E-4 Messerschmidt 1:48

Btw, I find it very fitting to commemorate the Battle of Britain with building a German aircraft which was shot down :smiling5::thumb2:

    Christian's Eduard Bf 109 E-4 Messerschmidt 1:48

I would like to participate in this GB with my first attempt at an Eduard kit, to be used with the 1:56 Bolt Action miniature wargame. (Unfortunately, currently no active players.) The planes can be used for either strafing runs, dogfights (I think), and mission objectives. I look forward to...

Don't go down to the woods

The paintjob looks very good - interesting piece! Nothing about it is uhm... allegorical! :smiling4:
