For your second build this is a real cracker. The figure has come out really well. Your work on the mud has come out well also. I see you have used a PE set - how did that go?

Hi, thanks Steve. If 'PE' stands for photo etched it was fun new experience for me, half of the time I was on the floor searching for bits I dropped :smiling3:.
I'm not sure but I think it was Eduard PE set it was really well made with clear instructions.

The colour of your Tiger is always an interesting debate. What will help you decide is to actually make a decision on which Tiger you are modelling ie 112, 142 131 etc. Also which time you are basing your Tiger on (ie late1942 early 1943) as many had resprays and renumbering as Tigers dwindled and new companies were formed. Confused?? Well if you have a look at TIF website, David Byrden website (tiger1.info) and this you tube video (HERE) it may help clear the muddy waters you are going to encounter.

Hi Steve
'upsetting' wife with tiger1.info for several weeks now :smiling3: but your link to you tube video helped a lot thanks. One questions did i get it right that Germans used colours (pigments) that don't fade on sun?
thanks again

The paint tins supplied to the field could be thinned with water or gasoline thus durability was unreliable depending on thinner choice and dilution. PaulE

Hi Maciej

This looks really good for your second build. I particularly enjoy the mud splashes!

Which kit is this Stug IV?
