Hi Gang,

This is the new tool Airfix Kit. I started it waaaay back when it was first released, then it was put in a box with all my other modelling stuff whilst we moved house. I dug it out over the christmas break and decided it deserved to be finished.
The kit itself is lovely, the turret is a bit of a pain to fit once you have painted every thing. I would recommend installing it in two pieces. Slot the guns in first and the put the glass on afterwards.
As usual I painted it with Tamiya acrylics thinned with MLT. Weathered with some UMP, Ammo , Mig and Windsor & Newton oils.
Added an Eduard fabric Sutton harness and the antenna wire was rigged with Uschi rigging line.

Now I have a clear bench.. Where's that Phantom.

Thanks for looking

Jason

Really nice job on this one, there are some seriously good builds being finished at the moment.

I've never understood the British fascination with turret fighters in various forms, going right back to the late twenties/early thirties, but then I have the benefit of hindsight :smiling3:

Cheers

Very nice build. I also have that kit in my small stash. Hope mine turns out half as good as yours!
