For me only need one or two filters and no more ;)
Thanks Polux! I agree that it may be too much, but as this is a first attempt at the technique - I guess too much is better than nothing!!:smiling3::rolleyes:

Now that the Valyrie is crawling to the finish line, I've decided it need a suitable base. The opening scenes in the animation series shows the Valkyrie taking off from a carrier deck with a jet blast deflector and flight director...... I did not want to build one from scratch so I have opted for the next best option, a kit! The 1/48 Skunkmodelz, USN Nimitz Deck!!
Boy! Am I a happy chappy or what?? Its massive and impressive!!:eek::confused::confused::D:D:D

Here are a couple of photos of the boxed kit and sprues!!

Thanks Tony, again its being a labour of love...

Doing so many things I have never done before on an aircraft, so big learning curve and a struggle at times, but well worth the experience:cool::p:cool:

I've got the deck all painted up and decals applied with a coat of wash - this will need to be sealed and final weathering applied along with the JBD fitted and suitably weathered. After this is all sealed the Valkyrie and deck crew will take their places.

Gavin mate, I have been following this build for a while, just was not able to comment until today. Love your work mate. A big fan of Robotech myself. Live the VFs man. This is going to be one cool dio.
