I'm not too sure if the Batmobile belongs here or in the car section, but as the Marvel's Agents of Shield's Battle Bus landed up here, I guess this is the right place.

As my buddies on OneTwentyFour got my juices going, I decided to build the 1989 Batmobile :D . I recon this is the epitome of what the Batmobile is meant to look like - other may differ, but that is my view. ^_^

I've decided to have it on the turn table in the batcave and that is where I've stopped. o.O I could do more but I don't want to make a rod for my back....or break the bank :/ , we will just have to wait and see how this plays out? 9_9

I'll post some images later on of work done already. :smiling3:

Till later

Trying something different here, using cheap household bleach to remove the chrome off parts. It's slow, but it does work!!

For the children, only do this under adult supervision wearing safety goggles and gloves.

The work chugs along, I've been pottering around with the engine for the Batmobile diorama, here are some images for reference and where I am on the engine - next will be undercoat, gloss black, Alclad2 (colour ?), black wash and further detailing

Engine is not complete yet, but it is looking very much like what I had in mind.

It's been a while, but I have been chugging along. The Batmobile is approaching completion and the cave is taking shape.

Thanks for the compliments, work is progressing and I'm playing around with some ideas for the layout for the Batcave "workshop".

I still throwing stuff around to see where it sticks.

Well, the cave grows and grows..... ;)

The back wall is taking shape the afterburner blast deflector is looking good as well, need to finish the vault door and cat walks at the front, then wall up the sides..... plenty to do! O.o

I was worried that I was making a rod for my back, but when you are having so much fun, it sure ain't no rod! :D

Thanks Monica!

Well, I have managed to complete the basic cave, now to display the Batmobile and Bruce Wayne doing a bit "tuning" of the jet turbine.

Thanks, that means a lot to me! I have worried and fussed endlessly about that! >

In the end I used a Woodlands Scenics product: Earth Colors Kit C1215 - I also used it for the rock outcrop above the entrance. ^_^
