Back after 35 years of non-participation!
I've just bought myself a 1/35 Tamiya Panzer IV D to start off.
Plans are afoot for weathering & the full works...we'll see how that goes!
(Cheap...ish) spray gun purchased, paint is arriving through the door gradually & other bits are on the way.
I know what I want to do...but I'm not sure whether it'll look as I hope. I'm sure that's a familiar situation to some... ;)

George,
welcome to the Forum, - don't worry about the Essex thing, nobody will hold it against you! :smiling5:
If it's 35 years since your last model, then things have changed soooo much! New makers, new materials, new techniques. Ask ANY question - we all had to start ( again ) somewhere. Good choice on the Tamiya Panther - nice fit, not too many parts...........

He said Panzer IV :smiling3:

Seems we have a bit of an influx of people who haven’t built a model in decades, so my advice to George would be to look up and read their questions first, since our answers will probably come in useful for him too :smiling3:

This sounds awfully like..."When all else fails, read the instructions". Something that's proven invaluable to me over the years... :tears-of-joy:
