I'm off for a delve into the internet now. Seeing your build has me me curious about the arrestor gear!! Seen the aircraft a few times but always ashore, never seen the arrestor hook deployed!!

Found a pic. I see now, the bottom of the rudder assembly forms part of the hook gear.Seafire_F_XVII_SX_336_wings_up.jpg

Yes, the hook lowers along with the underside of the rudder, you get the choice of it retracted or released on the model
