Made a start on this kit. Wasn't too sure about the quality and detail of a kit like this but after having had a close look at it and doing some test fitting on the spitty I'm very happy with the kit.
It's been well over 20 years since I last did a 1/72 scale build, poor old eyes are struggling so I'm making good use of my magnifier although I think I may well have to improve it's LED lighting somewhat. Being short sighted in one eye and long sighted in the other doesn't help. My glasses only seem to make things worse.
I had forgotten just how small 1/72 scale is!
Progress:
- So far I have built the cockpit and pilot, the prop and glued the wings.
- The cockpit is painted as is the pilot although there is still some work to do to him.
- The wings are under-coated in white as well as glued together.
- I have also test assembled the stand, I think it looks quite decent.
