About half way through the decalling process now - very time consuming!

Hopefully this shows the shaded underside better than I've been able to before.

Bit of respraying required, Mr Mark Softer ate through the paint.

That looks the part. For me it doesn't what difficulties the build has thrown up, once the paint is on, I can forgive............

Tonight's been about repairing the damage and masking the wheel wells - forgot to do this earlier.

Today's progress has been around trying to get this bird on her own feet.

I'm using replacement resin items again from Barracuda Studios.

I've not got around to painting the tyres yet but the hubs look great with a wash to highlight the detail.

She's almost on her own feet. I found the rear undercarriage to be really poorly fitting - not what you want. I have my concerns over the longevity of these pieces.

This is looking great. So, landing gear, you did remember the extra weight for the nose ? Then again, is all that resin heavy enough ?

I did put extra weight in the front of the fuselage. In fact, I was too slapdash and filled the nose wheel bay by accident. I then had to scrape it out and rebuild the bay from plastic card.

She's on her feet!

Next up are the fiddly bits then a bit of weathering!

I'll be glad to get it finished!

I think you're looking forward to seeing the back of this one, but from here it's looking very nice.

Are those fuel tanks on top of the wings? How odd?...
I guess they don't interfere with the armament that way - if they are tanks that is?
I don't know so much about cold war British jets apart from the Avro Vulcan, Tornado and the Harrier.

Apart from my hair-scratching question it's looking very nice indeed! You've done a great paint job and the decals are spot on! :thumb2:

They are fuel tanks. I believe they were mounted above the wing because the undercarriage was in the way beneath!
