Attaching antenna wire to a clear part is always fraught with the danger of your adhesive fogging the clear part. Here is how I've attached an antenna wire, fashioned from 1Kg monofilament fishing line, to the hood of my D-9.

1 I drilled a hole slightly larger than the diametre of the line through the canopy, from the outside, just behind the attachment for the hook.

2 I countersunk the inside of the hole using a slightly larger bit.

3 Passed a length of line through the hood and tied a couple of knots on the inside. Just enough to stop the line pulling back through the hood, but small enough to sit in the countersink.

4 Cut the "tail" off as close as possible to the knot.

5 Applied a little white glue,in this case "Micro Kristal Klear" to the knot, pulled it into place and used a blob of Blu-Tac to hold the line on the outside of the hood whilst everything dries.

Job done!

I reckon once dry I can touch up the inside with a dab of RLM66 and the outside with RLM82 and this will be all but invisible. Easy to do and any white,P.V.A. type, glue will work with no risk of fogging.

Cheers

Steve
