UPDATE:
No one wishes to die alone so I gave him a companion to pass into the 'Here After' with.

Oh...right, the arm...well I guess that makes three poor souls.
Much butchering and grinding required, he'll be dressed proper gory when done

Thanks Ian, just thought one figure (plus the arm) wasn't enough.
Really taking my time with this one, think I'll rough up halftrack a bit more to depict a furious violent encounter followed by that eerie
calm after most fire fights.

UPDATE;

Scene just did not seem authentic enough for me, amount of carnage to soldier laying on ground needed a damn good reason for it.
So I decided that a Russian 75mm anti tank round ripping through front end of halftrack would do the trick nicely, poor guy was just standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Never enough filth, wreckage and carnage for me and yet it cannot even begin to represent the true horrors of war.

Enough fiddling me thinks, time to get down to paint work. Lack of weaponry, ammo and or personal equipment laying about is no oversight.
Marauding Rooskies would have picked scene clean of anything useful or souvenir worthy, leaving only personal papers and or photos which will be added scattered about
upon finishing touches.

Thanks Monica, it's a challenge to try to depict such scenes, very enjoyable to me.
Will try a bit of a different painting technique on figures, more of a painting in of colors direct, instead of dry brushing them out.
Then I will sort of "antique" them in with gradual and varied dark pin washes...we'll see how it works out.

will look forward to seeing them,i find with a 1.35 ,I,do tend to paint them,in,were with smaller scale use a dry brush look,
and a good idea with the wash in a darker color to pickup ,the detail,
