Hi Bob
That is a beast for sure. Seems to have gone together well but does looks to have a lot of smallish parts to slow down progress. Is the metal barrel heavy? I imagine some thought will have to go into fitting it as it is a long chunk of metal. I look forward to the rest of this.

Cheers Jim. :smiling3:

Yes, the small parts have slowed down progress a bit, but the main issue is I have just been too lazy to get to the bench much this week. :smiling5:

To be honest, I haven't taken the barrel out of the package yet, it comes with 10 brass rounds so difficult to say what it weighs on its own. Saying that, the kit gun has quite beefy equilibrators which look like they would hold up some weight.

Hi Bob

Missed the start of this one so I will pull up a chair if I may. I seem to be building more in sections, paint and then put together. Hope all goes well for you

Welcome aboard Steve. :smiling3:

This is my collection of bits to be painted off model so far

Other than that I've continued working at the back end with the winch and various other parts.

Bob,
Coming along well, did you say where you obtained the wire cable from?
Cheers
Mike.

It's all kit parts, the wire is actually string.

Awesome kit Bob, always wanted to do one of those monsters.
Nice clean glue work...I always make a mess of it at times, especially the little fiddly bits, good job of it so far :thumb2:

With the fiddly bits at the back done I managed to move on with some bigger bits.

Got the plough and rear platform built, and made a start on the gun. My bits to be painted separately box is now quite full.

Don't know how I've missed this one Bob, some very nice work and it's looking like a very impressive kit.

So far it's gone together beautifully. Quite well thought out with a lot of EPM's hidden by other panels.

It’s a Tamiya kit, did you expect anything else than it going together well? :smiling3:

There is some nice detailing on the kit Bob. That gun section must have tested your nerves a bit. It certainly looks the DB's now that section is complete. A very fine and tidy build. Great stuff:thumb2::thumb2:

Great looking model Bob. Seems at least as good as the AFV Club one.
Bring on the crew.

Cheers guys. :smiling3:

The gun wasn't too bad, it was a lot of smaller parts built up then added in chunks to the main section. I did spend most of yesterday putting it together though.
