Hi all I am calling this done its the first diorama I've built in years and I've really enjoyed it.
The wadi walls are made from 5mm foam board glued together until I achieved the desired height then covered with modroc and tilegrout.
The whole dio was then covered with cat litter and budgie sand then painted with different sand coloured paints and once everything was in place i dusted all of it with ground artist pastels then sprayed with Vallejo matt varnih

Very nice Col, I think you've got the scenery spot on there.

I just hope they don't get trapped in that wadi ;)

Nice one! Modroc, I'd forgotten about that stuff! Good idea, and it works amazingly well! When you say foam board, I take it you don't mean the stuff that has a thin layer of card on each surface?

That's the stuff john a mate of mine was a photographer he used it to mount pictures on and when he retired he gave me loads of it so I use it for all sorts
