Hi Colin
A great result. Well done with the rigging. Pilots in those days were certainly brave to fly in those fragile, early planes.
A model to be proud of.

Beautifully built Colin. Under natural light looks like the real thing.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks all for taking time to have a look. It will be something small and simple next, I think a brace of Airfix JP's might fit the bill..

Pilots in those days were certainly brave
I seem to remember reading once that, many pilots were killed by the rigging wires during quite minor crashes.

Under natural light
I try to photo all completed builds outside. The natural light helps - lots.

but i know the rigging would never get done
Try something in 1:48, you can cheat a bit with the rigging in this scale. I do !

One of the best builds of anything this year!! I really have enjoyed this build and the base sets it off a treat. I hope you had a well earned drink after this

Thanks again for having a look everyone.
love the prop
The prop did come out quite nice, it does have a very fine grain to it. I find creating wood can be a bit hit or miss with me, I got lucky with this one. The mystery is, why is it so much darker than the struts ? Oh well....

the base sets it off a treat
That's my generic mk1 aircraft display base. It pops up in many builds - I really should make a few more.

I hope you had a well earned drink after this
