Here is my stab at a Pink Spitfire. It's an old Airfix 1/72 kit, very straight forward and a good fit.

I have tried to copy, as best I can, Steve's (stona) excellent pictures on the Pink Spitfire thread.

I had to butcher the decals to suit the P.R. ones. I used some of the original lettering - a bit of licence!

All brush painted.

I couldn't resist a couple of pictures depicting this machine doing what it was built for - taking pictures!

I hope the pictures show the Spitfire the correct shade of 'near pink' on your monitor, as they appear on mine, if not my apologies.

I hope you like this offering, it's been fun trying to get the aircraft something like the original.

Thanks for looking.

I do like the colour Ron - better not show this to SWMBO coz she'll think it'll be just right for the bathroom!

Your ' in action ' pictures are always great, something I hope to copy ;)

Thanks chaps. I'm on our diddy laptop and the aircraft is showing near enough white. My own in my den shows a slight pinkish hue, which is how its meant to be. I hope yours is showing the true colour!

I think it was once mentioned in another thread a few weeks ago that the original pink spitfire spy planes were very close to white, but anyway, it seems you've nailed this one ;) :D

No, not strange at all. Very nice job Ron. The old BT-K kit converted into a PR1G. Good work.

I like it, I like it a lot.

The props on the model I have are not in great condition, this may be an alternative to fixing them with putty as it really does look just fine...
