"Sir, the scouts are back. The krauts have gone!"
"You sure Lieutenant?"
'Yes, Sir, but I've posted pickets just in case."
"Any casualties?"
"Just two with minor wounds."
"So the place is secured. Go and find the head guy of this place and tell him he owes us a mess of wine!"
"And some cheese too, Sir!"
"Yes, Lieutenant - and some cheese too. Oh, and pass my thanks on to your mortar crews, for once they hit what I asked them to hit!"

Thus the liberation of this little village is complete. The engineers are straight at it stringing new telephone cables and the two wounded are sat down being cared for.

There you go. I hope you like the end result. Apart from the figures, the diorama cost me nothing, just made from bits and bobs of scrap stuff - Think beer tokens (yet again!)

It started off as just an idea. No set plan, apart from the stream. that's what I love about dios., make a start and the ideas just seem to flow.....

Anyway, thanks again for following the build. I really did appreciate having you along for the ride.

Cheers.
Ron

The companies who make ruined buildings as kits for us to use should look at this and see how they should be done!

Ron,
Best pizza you ever ate! I hate to say it but I really did prefer the b&w shots as opposed to the color. The level of realism is phenomenal in b&w and I was completely blown away by the end results!
Congratulations,
Rick H.

The first time I viewed this thread I was impressed, but I was at work and sort of distracted. This time I saw the picture with your hand in it! What scale is this? 1/72nd or 1/144? I've gone though the posts a few times and still haven't figured it out. Regardless, its awesome.
