and finished!

worst thing was canopy fit.....or lack of!.....camo scheme based on the buff/green one used on SAAF aircraft of the period......kind of re-sparked my interest in what-ifs

in the 1950s South Africa was using the Canadair Sabre as a fighter but it was decided something a little more heavy duty was required for use as a fighter-bomber going forward into the 1960s and later

lacking the funding for the latest aircraft it gratefully took up an offer of a large batch of F84-F from American stock.........it was being withdrawn from active service by the mid 60s and placed into Reserve status

in SAAF service it would soldier on til the end of the 70s along side the Sabres

shown is a 26 Squadron aircraft flying out of Air Force Base Voorgee

Great colours. I think the Wessex helicopter could have a sand and spinach scheme, very similar to yours.
