    new bits added in bold.....
I fear that I need to place a few guidelines for making a suggestion. Also to expressing an interest.
Think about what it is that you wish to suggest. An idea plukked out of the air and sent in on the spur of the moment is going to get you more questions than anything else.

I think it would be better with a concrete idea for a build than just a theme. We have had so many theme type GB's in the past and the active interest was all but zero. Plenty voted for them but no one entered anything come the time to build them.

I am not saying do not suggest a theme; i am saying if you do, think it through and make a clear suggestion that all can understand. Also remember that it is your suggestion and not to let people sway your idea to fit their wants.

If you would like to join the GB. Please make a clear statment along the lines of; I'm in. I want to do this, Add me to the list.
Things like Oh that would be great, Good idea, I have one in the stash, are all a bit flimsy. The person that made the suggestion might not catch it and the quota may not be reached.
When making a suggestion. If you leave off the year, it can sit on the list as long as it takes. If you put the year, it will get removed from the list as the year draws to an end.
(I do this to keep the list to one page, thus easier to see all the ideas in one go).

I am not trying to be a grumpy old fart, I am hopefully trying to help.

Good points Ian. That's why all my suggestions are simple and to the point. No room for questions or deviations, just wide open builds that everyone could join in on ( Irrespective of a favourite aspect of model making)......but within the context of the titles.

I would also like to suggest the following:
When you propose a GB INCLUDE the following info.
    Build subject
    Proposed build time.
Any special rules (scale, OOB, etc.).

To people reading the suggestions. Can we avoid trying to bend the subject/build time and start date to better suit your personal preference.
If you want to join the GB add your name to list by way of a clear comment. Not, if, but or maybe.

We very nearly lost the Panther GB due to there being so much chit chat and the like that the actual people wanting to take part very nearly got lost in three pages of chatter.
We have at the last look 5,088 members and I am sure that we can find enough to take part in a good number of builds.
