Missed this Colin as June was a busy month for me. Very well done especially the anti-glare panels. Not all planes had variations on their metal finish, perhaps the shades were because of the direction the panel was milled. I often add white and browns to the silver mix and using two pieces of L shaped mask randomly pick panels to dust over.

Good point. I also think a lot has to do with the very slight 'dents' in the skin which reflect light in different ways.

Superb work (as stated above)! You nailed it. You managed to capture the look of a well used plane by adding just the right amount of wear and tear.
