Hi all.

I am busy with this HB F-105 D .

Sofar the levelof detail is really nice and fine. The only hassle to date is that the cockpit tub is not wide enough for the fuslage, about 3mm at the rear part.

This I extended by adding plasticsheet and carved to shape.

I also do not intent to show off the engine ao I added small locator tabs at the lointline to help with the gluing.

It will be in the South East Asia USAF colors.

Well it is long overdue for me to post here again.

The plane is very close to being completed, Iam busy with the final assembly.

I used modelmaster medium green, dark green and camo grey aswell as humbrol 108 US tan for the colors. Then post sheded with pastels and did apin wash.

These planes seem to have been rather well worn and "dirty"

I also had to modify the kit's MER's as they are incorrect for the wings and I wanted a centre line MER with 6 Mk 82's. They will have the attached safety wires to the fuses and the flags.

Looks like you're getting close to the end with this one, it's looking really good. Great work in the cockpit. Can I ask what you used to mask the camo?

Thanx

I used paper masking tape for the various colors with prestix worms to soften the edges a little.
