How do my wheels look

I have just started on my tamiya quad and 25 pounder but my weathering has never been up to scratch so I would like opinions of my latest attempt on the wheels.
I have used revell weathering powders fixed with tamiya Matt varnish.P1040624.JPGP1040626.JPGP1040625.JPG

Nice work Peter, they look good. If it's going onto a base all that's needed now, is to dust the tyres with the same colour as the base to blend them in.

Good suggestions above. A little touch with a lead pencil to the eight mounting screws might add some more interest. PaulE

If you are after the worn out look then small cuts on the tyre wall here and there may be what you are after. Look at reference photos of worn out tyres for inspiration. Great work otherwise:thumb2:

You could add a thin wash of oil paint into the recesses and around the screw heads to add a bit of depth, but otherwise very nice..
