That foil masking trick would really save money! I should try that myself. By the way, the weathering looks great.

Is what I need to finish it!

I'm searching a "good" colour :smiling3: and decide if I do it with enamels or oils as well :P

Very dark. I use black with a touch of red in it.

German fuels seem to have left a dark staining when the engines were run hard under combat conditions. The appearance of dark smoke from the exhausts as the throttles are opened up is even commented on in some allied combat reports.

I've been trying to simulate the residue of this sort of staining after it is cleaned off on the little Fw 190...which has been fun :smiling3:
