It's getting there. Half-hour sessions squeezed into the work/domestic routine.
Hope to have No.2 mounted on the Base tomorrow. Then ground work.

I have noticed a few new members coming from other sites...I know I have not been on the modelling scene for ages so I take it stuff has kicked off?

Welcome by the way, I am not on as much as I would like to be but I notice that the regulars have opened their arms in a warm welcome.

Some superb modellers on here and a site that doesn't poke fun or look down on others, or their builds.

We are refugee's from the old Military Modelling site which closed down so we made our home here :smiling2:

Hi.
Back from a sojourn in hospital to get my hernias patched.
NHS staff superb as always. A thank you card will be going to Harrogate in due course.
I'll be taking a break from the shell-swept Lorraine battlefield for a week or four but probably checking in here more often, to see what other people are doing. (It's about time! )
Thanks for the comments and compliments.
And didn't the lads do well yesterday? ?!!
Cheers. DS

Oh dear this is dull.
Very bored now.
TV is ok, as are books, but it'd be nice to DO something...

Hope to commence work on the base this weekend.
In the meantime, here are some Poilus in Salonika

...and something less whimsical.
Since buying a 15mm wargame army of 1914 French infantry and artillery, because the Brits were taken already by someone else, I've really engaged with the Poilus and Armee de l'air. Frankly they're now the subject of choice.
A bit thin on the ground, though.

Hi Dave
Great pictures, very evocative. I have volume 1 of the official French WW1 pictorial history here (its huge), so if there is anything you want pictures of, but can’t find let me know and I’ll see if it has pictures I can copy for you. Can’t read the text though, it’s in French.
Cheers
Tim
