A rare piece, not many made, questionable combat history, but it has the distinction of being the first fully turreted mobile AAA produced
in any numbers, only a few hundred me thinks

Thanks Jim, I try to achieve a patina like finish on my projects which is a bit unique I feel.
Base is a re-usable platform for display purposes, am working on another, a Belgian estate garden wall with barn like doors and window.

Hi Jim,
for info it seems they only completed about five prototype vehicles in early 1945 and according to my references it is not thought that they saw combat.

I suspect that the first enclosed turreted AA tank was actually the British Crusader AA Mk2/3 - they built a few hundred of them, they were deployed on D-Day but they only saw limited action due to allied air superiority

Thanks for the info Simon, thought they made more of them.
Never really looked them up but instruction sheet said a small number were made...didn't think it was that small though.
Don't quite remember where I read it was a "revolutionary design"....as a matter of fact I wouldn't believe a darn thing I say.
