The main cause of fuselage twisting is due to incorrect use of longerons,if the slightest tension is built into the structure then you are heading for problems later.

Best make sure that the wood used for these important items is from well seasoned stable timber, any curves should be handled by rolling the longeron under a wooden dowel to release the tension in the wood,if you really have to steam in the curve then pin the part down overnight onto a flat wooden board before glueing into place otherwise the curve will start to open up and push the fuselage out of line.

A better way to handle the matter would be to laminate two pieces of timber together, then set up in a simple jig such as small nails placed at strategic intervals to hold the wood as it dries out,the end result will be a perfectly formed shape for your model without any fears of it bending and twisting out of shape.

With such initial base structures as laying out of the longerons every initial care should be taken, you model removes around such items so do not skimp on their importance.
