Lord Henry Paget COMPLETED

Hi all, i thought i would post some pics of a figure that i have just started, this is a commission piece and the figure is of Lord Paget otherwise known as the Earl of Uxbridge or the guy that got his leg blown off sat on his horse at Waterloo, As this figure has 2 legs i must deduce that it is before Waterloo,

Its 200mm, sculpted by Carl Reid and supplied by Mitches Military Models and will be painted in acrylics.

First after priming i started on the Face, in my opinion the most important thing on any figure.

Heres where i am at the mo, im using Life colour flesh set plus a few others thrown in

Very nice Paul. Like the shading on the areas normally shaved very authentic.

Also under the eyes where you have accentuated the folds in the skin.

Thanks for all the comments guys and gal, when i say basic what i mean is i normally have about 4 or 5 runs at a face depending on how it is going. ive had 2 goes so far and it still needs some refining, the blending needs to be better and a bit more colour, updates to follow

Cheers Joe

A little update on this, painted the busby, and finished tidying up the face, base coated the jacket and started the creases and also made a start on the lace work which will be in NMM

more to follow guys and gal

Wow!! This face looks amazing!!

In my best days I only paint 3 different colours on a face...and anyway seems, just a little little bite, as good as this :P

Really like it Paul :smiling3: :smiling3: :smiling3:

Moni just get yer popcorn ready, this could take a while

Ian he only has one arm the other is under the Pellisse

Polux 3 colours how did you manage

Cracked on a bit with this, got a fair bit of the lace work done, all in NMM, some bits to touch up but the effect is almost there

Also made some subtle changes to the face, just blended it a bit more and added a touch more pinkish colour, BTW if you worked out the cost of his uniform in todays money, its about £67,000..........................Ill have two

all for now

Many thanks Joe, hows things in down under land :smiling3:

Richi, one word Thanks ;)

Ive been steadily progressing on this and most of the top half is finished, apart from the Pelisse :smiling3: , still a bit of tiitivating to do to tidy up one or two bits, especially on the sleeve where the blending needs sorting

Make a start on the legs next

Paul
