This is something I've been wanting to do for a while, an 88 mounted on a captured KV1 chassis.
Figuring it out as I go along, but something along these lines did exist, please allow a bit of artistic license on this one. Still very conceptual at this point. One thing I do know is that the fenders will for the most part be eliminated, I'll only keep them around long enough to aid in shaping proper track sag with unruly vinyl snakes

Knowing how the Germans utilised any chassis they could get their hands on, this project is entirely feasible Jim.

It'll definitely be one to watch :smiling3:

Glad to have you all on board, am giving "Gertrude" a little sister "Emma" both are makeshift ways to get AAA on the move. I will make an "urban" setting to display them, a small multi purpose base which will be of use in future also. (more fun with sheet foam) It's fun going through the boneyard of relics and to breath new life into them;)..........Jim:smiling3:

Since I don't particularly know what exactly is my next step until I actually do it, I feel that washing and "feathering" to a certain extant as I go will eliminate any embarrassing "bright spots" for lack of a better term when putting the lights to them so to speak when taking photos for posting. Believe it or not there is a third project along the same lines involving a Panzer III chassis and a 37mmAAgun "Andrea" ( another boneyard resurrection). I just might include her in this thread as I think it would be easier to do them all at the same time.( I can't spell simultaneously) .....Somebody stop me!!!:rolleyes:

Here's "Andrea" (names will be painted on vehicles as was the practice of many German crew members commanders in honoring their sweethearts and or wives with the naming of their vehicles) hope I can pull this off convincingly. The human aspect of war is oft times lost in our recreations of times past, I try to keep it alive in all my projects.......Jim:smiling3:

Thanks guys, will be getting more done in next few days as we are heading into some dangerously cold weather in the next week or so with "Lake Effect" snows throughout.
Those are snows that are formed over the warm Great Lakes because of frigid Canadian air mass with high westerly winds that create major snow storms inland (us) sometimes up to

a meter deep. Temps with the wind chill could reach -30 to -40 degrees F! cant imagine what that is in Celsius
