Before the iron on film revolution came about another previous product was in use for making up roundals, lettering etc this was ordinary domestic Fablon, this material is reasonably cheap and has one very good feature it is flexible bi-laterally and lends itself well to placing around awkward surfaces such as curved fuselages.

To make roundals get hold of a circular Olfa cutter, set up the required diameter for the roundal and scribe out your shape, once you have this place a chinagraph pencil into a set of compasses and mark out the lines to paint up to,another alternative is to use a pair of dividers and lightly score the lines, this you will find is helpful when you load your paintbrush and the paint just flows into the etched line, works well give it a try.

Enamel or acrylic paint is best if using the later give a quick spray coat of acrylic sealer ( obtainable from your favourite art shop or graphic supplier ).

To apply to your model just peel back about half an inch of backing and position, but before you do mix up a solution of wetting agent which consists of a few drops of washing up liquid to a saucer of water, this way you can simply slide the decal into place, then pat the design and leave alone for several hours to dry.

For lettering use those stencil sets which come in various sizes, mark out in chinagraph pencil, cut out on a self healing mat and apply as above.
