My first model.

I posted a question about paints here a while ago (thank you everyone again for the replies and suggestions), and now that I've finished my model I wanted to share it. What do you think?

The model is Revell's 1:72 U190 U-Boot and the paints I ended up using are:

- Humbrol Sea Grey (matte spray)
- Humbrol Silver Metallic (metallic spray)
- Humbrol Matte Black (matte spray)
- Revell Fiery Red (aqua)
- Revell Brass Metallic (aqua)

For glue I used Contacta Professional and for the decals Humbrol's Decal Fix (with mixed results, maybe I didn't use it properly)

Agree with the previous gents and an excellent first build!!!

If you want to fix the flag to make it accurate you can order aftermarket decal sheets easily from eBay.
In modelling we honour the engineering and craft as accurate as each one of us wants but we have no interest in the politics, thus I don't mind having a balkenkreuz or a swastika on my flags and models.
Some countries like Germany and a few others can't see past the art of the modelling and censor this.

I'd be damn proud for building that model!

Nice work indeed, you can be well proud to have depicted such a nice rendition of an U-Boot as your first model!

Cheers

Hi Cristian
That is great by any standards but as a first model it is outstanding. One to be proud of.

That's a great start for a first model, every one is a learning curve.
