Another birthday present made for another very dear friend - this one I am especially proud of as I am particularly pleased with the skin textures on the face and it's the first time I've been able to paint proper(ish) eyes (although you can't see them here). I painted her pectoral (collar) with a toothpick - my 'fine' brush is a bit old and was too splayed so I'll have to order a new one soon. The base, would you believe, is made from a paintbrush handle, a spray can cap, and a newel post cap - real Blue Peter stuff! =D

Yes, I have some clean-up to do, but nothing major...

Great work Simon.

Akhenaten is my 'favourite' pharaoh. A complete one off. innovator and dad to Tutankhamun as well.

Absolutely he was a one-off, and could be said to be the 'inventor' of monotheism....

One of my 'favourite' pharoahs is Rameses II - HUGE ego, reflected in his monumental statues and buildings... (also Young Miniatures produce a 1/10th bust of him...)
