Nicely done Tony, I hope my first airbrushing attempt (coming soon) looks half as good as yours. You gotta love a Spit ;)

Cheers Andy, just take it steady and it'll come good.

Thanks Joe, appreciate the good feedback.

Cheers Ole, no the armour glass was on one of the two clear sprues, I've got loads of canopies left over LOL

Tony.

nice build Tony ,real like the detail on the seat with the belts, think its about time i moved away from brushes as well

i find over bigger areas you need an even coat , so looking into get a starter kit at the moment

I hope my first airbrushing attempt looks half as good as yours.

cheers

This is an excellent build Tony.

Really love the results you achieved painting it.

How is the kit, the front canopy looks very thick for the scale.

Well that's it now, if the cat stands still long enough it will get airbrushed, and anything else in range. But the build, yes, very nice. As I look at it I can 'hear' the engine.

Good work Tony. Looks like you won't be having to many problems with the airbrush.

Sorry about the delay in replying, we have our great neice, Lucy, staying (two and a half years old and full of bounce), so little time for modelling

Thanks Francesco, the kit comes with an assortment of canopies, armoured and unarmoured, I think it looks thicker because of the angel of the picture. :smiling3:

Cheers Colin, yeah LOL, but she's a bit too fast for me to get a decent first coat on. :D I know what you mean about the sound, lovely noise.

Thanks Ian, it's not as good as I would have liked but not bad for a first go, I think:rolleyes:

I've made one of these old kits. Not the best spitfire kit and certainly not up to today's moulding standards. But you've made a great job of it Tony.
