John .
Thanks John you need all the help you can get on these Emhar kits the Whippet is a lot worse that all the Mk IV & Mk V I built a while ago.
Cheers Pete .

That's a shame but Emhar kits really do cost blood, toil, sweat and tears.

Sorry that you're not carrying on Pete,
I don't think that it is beyond your skillset one bit in the slightest, and that you were doing a cracking job. but hopefully you'll find something else. Good luck buddy

Pete,
what you on about, this is not beyond your skillset at all.

Don't forget we've seen the proof in your previous builds

Now, extract the digit and get on with it, we want to see this bag of nails transformed :thumb2:

Hi I'm going to finish this build for two reason .
One it's Brads first GB and second it's a memorial build not because I'v got digit stuck????

This kit is based on the one at Bovington and is slightly differant from the one in Brussels at the Royal Military Museum .
Royal Military Museum link..... http://tank-photographs.s3-website-.../ww1-british-mark-A-whippet-firefly-tank.html

Cleaned up M/G and drilled out the barrels.

Armament was four 0.303 in Hotchkiss Mk 1 machine guns, one covering each direction. As there were only three crewmen, the gunner had to jump around a lot, though often assisted by the commander. Sometimes a second gunner was carried in the limited space, and often a machine gun was removed to give more room, as the machine guns could be moved from one mounting position to another to cover all sides.

Onto the PE.
Removed 6 x engine vents and replaced with PE and nuts/ rivets.

Added missing vertical bracket behind front fender hangers.

Removed moulded handles with PE and rivets.

Added missing cabin handle, added drip rail and missing visor, added the 4 missing hole in the top strip.

whippet-firefly-ww1-tank-track.jpg

Added PE F/R fener hangers. I decided to add canvas fenders covers.
Whippet%2B022a.jpg

Added missing track spud hanger rail below left M/G.

Added missing plates and nuts to rear of turret.

Added missing rear track spud hanger rail, added missing F/R triangular braces to the four corners of the lower body and added F/R tow rings, added missing rivets.

Thank you for looking in, all comments welcome good or bad.
Pete.

Sorrey there's more:tired:

Boxed in the compartment above the rear tow ring, added F&R sprocket brace plates. Fitted tracks.
Added missing tow cable hooks to the side plus nuts and rivets. added rope to exhaust to simulate asbestos rope.
I know it should have a metal cover but I like it without.

Showing F&R sprocket brace plates.

Asbestos rope.
