Hello to all, here is my offer.

There is a topic that has very much potentially and I believe it can be agreeable for all.

My specific topic for the SIG 2013 is build a HUMMER.

There are different models of load, armoured vehicles, ambulance.... This allows little variety for us with the same model.

Possibilities of weathering and 2 varieties of painting camouflage.

Available model in different scales and manufacturers. (John can obtain easily, I suppose).

Accompanied of figures will be optional.

The model will be on a small pedestal of decorated wood (not diorama).

Thanks for read, to think about it and share new ideas.

Ps: The second possibility is a Land Rover.

Now there are some interesting models from Hobby Boss.

I think that it's a vehicle of support, (serious interesting to show this functionality) accompanied of a tank or another military related vehicle.

It's possible to discuss... Also it fills time, build a light vehicle in 6 months... It would exceed many time at many people!

Best regards

Polux

I think that your Idea for a Hummer build is right on the money. A single subject and presented in a simple way. A good Idea Polux. As is the landy idea but try to keep one idea to one thread.

So Polux. sell your idea to nine others and we are rolling. Also, if you feel that six months is to long a time, you can suggest a shorter time but remember the more time there is the more people can put into their build.

Well, now is as if I was going fishing... It's necessary to hope that they eat the fishhook!!

An awkward question Ian.... You join in?

Ps: the Landy is just to second option more completed and difficult, the Hummer is my bet.

(hope the threard and all is correct Ian)

If someone can point me at a decent scale model of this Hummer thing I'll have a go. Why not? It's about time I built something that doesn't fly.

You should go into politics Polux......you got my vote :smiling3:

Cheers

Steve

Edit: I just looked on Hannant's web site. You can get more after market stuff for these than for a Spitfire! I like 1/35,anyone have a recommendation?

Ps: I think the most interesting models for this kit are actually "Bronco Models". Few time ago I open a box and looks very nice, and the wheels are made from rubber.

I not sure, but think Tamiya has one. It's a great brand.
